Job summary

DIGI2AL in Portsmouth seeks a Solution Architect to lead end-to-end design, development, and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure technology solutions aligned with business objectives. You will translate high-level visions into actionable roadmaps, challenge assumptions, and ensure architectural integrity across the software lifecycle while collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams.

Start ASAP on a 3‑month contract with potential extension; on-site 2–3 days per sprint; day

Qualifications

• Ability to produce architectural representations enabling shared understanding across teams.
• Strong communication to explain complex architecture to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience tracking emerging issues, strategies, roadmaps, patterns and technologies to assess risks and opportunities.
• Familiarity with the GDS lifecycle and passing Digital Service Assessments; containerisation with Kubernetes.
• Understanding of data & analytics architecture principles and strategy.
• Knowledge of modern security principles: Secure by Design, Zero Trust, and Software Defined Networking.
