Job summary

Undisclosed is seeking a Software Engineer – Strategic Engineering in Sheffield to join a Cyber Security-focused team. You will design and build production-grade backend services, APIs, and tooling, operating in AWS/Azure with Terraform automation.

The role combines strong coding with cloud/SRE practices, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability across enterprise data platforms. Onsite support is required three days per week in Sheffield.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with production-grade backend services.
• Experience delivering APIs, microservices and tooling in cloud environments.
• Proficient in Go, Python, Java or C# with modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services, APIs, and tools.
• Build production software using Go, Python, Java, or C# in cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and observability practices.
• Deploy and operate services, automate provisioning with Terraform, and ensure security.
