Lloyds Banking Group is hiring an SME Banking Relationship Manager to support businesses across Sussex. You will nurture client relationships, spot growth opportunities and coordinate credit and lending solutions. The role emphasises risk-aware decision making and collaboration with internal experts.

You’ll work in a hybrid setup, engaging with local businesses and communities to drive results within the Commercial Banking SME team. Excellent communication and financial insight are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience developing lasting relationships with diverse clients.
• Strong business development track record within banking or financial services.
• Experience assessing credit propositions and applying risk frameworks.
• Understanding of commercial loans and working capital solutions.
• Ability to understand markets, businesses and the competitive landscape.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of Sussex-based SME customers with £3m–£10m turnover.
• Identify opportunities and develop new-to-bank relationships for growth.
• Assess credit propositions and make informed risk/return decisions.
• Promote lending, deposits and cross-group solutions to clients.
• Build networks with local partners to turn ideas into outcomes.
