You will lead on projects to support the Council’s strategic skills priorities, drive learner engagement through promotional activity, learner voice and building progression opportunities through partnership working, liaising with the wider teams and providers to support our strategic priorities and securing positive outcomes for learners and our communities. You'll be responsible for line managing two IAG and Progression Officers , who will drive forward improvements in supporting learners to secure positive outcomes and achieve career goals.

You will play an integral part in promoting skills and the service delivering over 7,000 training places to adults each year and driving forward the Council’s Employment and Skills Plan . We cover the whole of Lincolnshire and therefore you will need a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

LCC is proud to offer an agile and flexible hybrid working model, allowing you to achieve the optimal balance between personal and professional commitments. You will be expected to work from the office with your team at least once a week, typically on Thursdays, and potentially a second day as needed. Occasionally, additional office days may be required. Some travel will be necessary to attend partnership meetings with our subcontracted providers at their locations. The Council also offers flexibility in working patterns to support a strong work-life balance, while ensuring service needs are met.

About you

On an individual basis you will actively contribute to the Council’s ambition to raise skill levels and aspirations of adults across Lincolnshire. You will work autonomously, make decisions, be effective in developing and maintaining partnership relationships, can drive forward projects and develop strategy around engagement and business development. It goes without saying that to achieve this you will need to be skilled at building and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships.

Ideally you will be:

  • Educated to degree level and have relevant experience in a post-16 education environment.
  • Have a minimum of Level 3 Adult Teaching Qualification (PTLLS or equivalent) or willingness to obtain
  • Experienced in contributing to business development or marketing processes including engagement initiatives, social media and traditional marketing and developing strategy.
  • Have demonstrable experience in partnership working, managing business relationships or project management
  • Have suitable ICT skills (Microsoft Office)

You will be given a nominated contractual work base and you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary.
