Worcestershire County Council and Wychavon District Council are seeking to appoint an ambitious transport planner to lead the transport planning of the major new settlements at Worcestershire Parkway for 10,000 homes and 50 hectares of employment land, and Throckmorton for 5,000 homes and 20 hectares of employment land.
Wychavon has an ambitious growth agenda, and this is your chance to help shape the future of one of the fastest-growing districts in the West Midlands.
As a Strategic Sites Transport Planner, you will work closely with the County Council to lead input on transport matters and support the delivery of these major developments, initially focusing on the nationally significant development at Worcestershire Parkway.
The role is varied, and no day will be the same. You’ll contribute to the smooth running of pre-application and planning application processes for these major developments, working closely with key partners such as Homes England and the landowner group.
You will be in regular contact with applicants, agents, members of the public, and other service users. Excellent communication skills and an ability to engage with a range of stakeholders are essential, along with a commitment to delivering outstanding service to all customers.

You will be required to attend Planning Committee meetings and undertake site visits. Flexibility, a full driving license, and access to a car are essential.
