A Local Council is seeking a Strategic Sites Planner to manage complex developments and projects that bring significant local benefits. This full-time role involves leading case management and working alongside a dedicated team on various significant planning projects from residential developments to solar farms. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Bassetlaw.

Salary Grade 8 £37,938 to £41,511 per annum
Full Time, permanent 37 Hours per week
We are looking for an individual to specialise in handling the more complex developments and major projects received by the Council. This includes politically sensitive and locally emotive proposals, but also applications bringing often the most generous local benefits. This role will focus primarily in progressing complex but highly interesting and unique developments, allowing the individual to truly shape the future of Bassetlaw!
The successful candidate will support the Major Projects Manager in the delivery of key sites in the district and to lead on the case management of strategic sites and major projects. With an existing knowledge of the planning system and processes, the individual will work alongside a dedicated team working and leading on several significant projects which could be anything from large residential developments to solar farms, to huge mixed used strategic sites or any other exciting opportunities which may arise.
