Hampshire County Council is recruiting a Strategic Manager (SEND Improvement & Assurance) to lead a new function shaping SEND governance and improvement. You will oversee performance, assurance and investment decisions across Hampshire's SEND services for children and young people and their families.

You will influence senior leaders, shape strategy across Education & Inclusion and the Local Area Partnership, and drive a culture of continuous improvement with robust reporting and accountability.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading strategic improvement, assurance or governance activity.
• Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting complex data and financial information.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and partners to deliver change and improvement.
• Strong understanding of the local government environment, including governance, accountability and political decision-making.
• Ability to think strategically and operate in complex environments with clarity.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management to strengthen SEND outcomes.

Responsabilités

• Lead SEND Improvement & Assurance Framework and SEND Improvement & Assurance Board, providing strategic oversight, governance and accountability.
• Monitor system performance, risks and delivery, identifying areas for improvement and coordinating assurance activity.
• Analyse complex performance and financial information, turning evidence into clear intelligence and recommendations for decision-makers.
• Lead strategic reviews and assurance activity to evaluate impact and inform investment decisions.
• Build strong relationships across education, health and social care to drive improvement.
• Prepare and present high-quality reports and recommendations to senior leaders and partnership forums.
