Job summary

Bowlee Park Community Primary School in Greater Manchester is seeking an experienced SENCO to lead and develop high-quality SEND provision across the school. The role focuses on strategic SEND leadership, policy implementation and cross-team collaboration to support pupils with disabilities.

With a strong emphasis on safeguarding, induction, CPD and working with external agencies, the successful candidate will drive inclusion and ensure statutory duties are met while forging a supportive school

Qualifications

• Experience leading SEND provision across a primary school.
• Ability to develop and monitor a SEND policy.
• Excellent communication with staff, families and external agencies.
• Commitment to inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development and implementation of the school's SEN policy.
• Coordinate provision for pupils with SEN or a disability.
• Oversee annual EHCP reviews and referrals.
• Support induction and CPD for teachers and teaching assistants.
• Liaise with Local Authority SEND team and external partners.
• Monitor progress and review provision effectiveness.
• Ensure statutory obligations for SEND are met.
