Aspire Recruitment is seeking a School Business Manager for a well‑established primary school in the Wirral area. The role focuses on finance and office management to support daily school operations.

You will lead budget planning, financial reporting, procurement, and compliance while working closely with the Headteacher and admin team to ensure value for money and efficient resource use for pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Qualification in business or financial management
• Experience with school systems such as SIMS, FMS, Arbor, Access or PS Financials
• Experience working within an educational setting
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Proactive, flexible and resilient approach

Responsibilities

• Strategic budget development, monitoring, and reporting to Headteacher and Governors
• Maintain robust financial controls and ensure statutory compliance
• Oversee procurement processes, contracts, and asset management
• Lead on financial administration to support school resources and pupil outcomes
• Engage with the local community to promote the school's profile
