Shalom Noam Primary School is seeking a capable School Business Manager to lead the school’s business and operational functions. You will support the Headteacher, staff and governors by running a strong operational infrastructure across finance, HR, administration, premises, compliance and IT.

The role includes owning financial controls, budgeting and procurement, as well as income generation through voluntary contributions, fundraising and grants.

Formación

• Experience in finance, business management or operations within education.
• Ability to manage budgets, financial controls, forecasting, reporting and procurement.
• Experience in staff development and performance accountability.
• Highly organised with ability to manage a broad portfolio of priorities.
• Strong knowledge of compliance, risk, health and safety and governance.
• Commercially minded with ability to identify efficiency and additional income.
• Attention to detail while keeping big-picture aims in view.
• Excellent communication with parents, staff, governors, suppliers and external organisations.
• Proactive, solutions-focused with decisive judgement.

Responsabilidades

• Take ownership of the school’s business and operational functions to support the Headteacher, staff and governors.
• Oversee finance, commercial management, HR and payroll, administration, premises, health and safety, compliance and risk, procurement, IT and income generation.
• Lead and develop the school office and support functions to ensure clear responsibilities and high service standards.
• Ensure robust financial controls, budgeting, reporting, value for money and strong processes across school operations.
• Drive income generation, including voluntary contributions, fundraising and grants.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen income and optimise use of resources.
• Build effective processes, monitor performance and complete tasks through to completion.
• Promote a culture of proactive problem solving and continuous improvement.
