NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Integrated Care Board is recruiting a Speech and Language Therapy Advanced Practitioner. The post will provide strategic, population-level SaLT leadership to improve outcomes for children and young people with SLCN and to strengthen the SaLT workforce in education settings.

Working across education, SEND partnerships and ICB, the role supports SEND reform, education systems and workforce development, with a focus on co-production and inclusive system design.

Formación

• Educated to master's level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience.
• HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist with current registration.
• Evidence of advanced level practice aligned to NHSE framework (or working towards).
• Commitment to MSc Advanced Practice or NHSE portfolio if not already held.
• Evidence of post-qualifying and continuing professional development.
• Member of a relevant professional body / RCSLT membership.
• Leadership, education or system development qualifications.

Responsabilidades

• Build a sustainable SaLT workforce in education by working with training providers and mainstream education settings to expand trainee placements.
• Strengthen inclusive mainstream education by working with delivery partners to enable earlier identification and support for SLCN.
• Operate as a strategic leader across education, health and care to support SEND reform.
• Use data and evaluation to shape scalable SaLT workforce solutions for mainstream education and system development.
