North Wales Fire & Rescue Service in Rhyl is seeking a RIS K, Safety & Claims Manager in the Operations Department on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, 37 hours per week.

The postholder will lead health and safety, risk management and insurance claims, develop policies, advise senior leaders, and work with internal and external stakeholders to drive governance and staff safety, including Welsh language level 2.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage North Wales Fire and Rescue Service's approach to health, safety, risk management and insurance claims, ensuring the Service meets statutory obligations and maintains high governance and employee safety.
• Develop, review and implement policies, procedures and guidance to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practice; collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote a pragmatic health and safety culture and oversee claims management.
