Job summary

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service in Rhyl is seeking a Risk, Safety & Claims Manager to lead its health, safety and risk management agenda on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The role will oversee policies, provide professional advice, support governance, and manage insurance claims while aligning with statutory obligations. Welsh language Level 2 required; DBS checks and related requirements will apply.

Qualifications

• Experience leading health and safety governance and risk management.
• Knowledge of statutory obligations and governance standards.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience with claims handling and insurance processes.
• Level 2 Welsh language skills required.

Responsibilities
