Job summary

Post Office Ltd is seeking an interim Risk and Assurance Director to lead strategic risk governance and mature risk management across the organisation. You will partner with senior leadership to shape risk strategy and ensure robust controls and reporting.

You will drive effective Board and executive reporting, champion risk insights, and foster an inclusive, high‑performing team culture in a complex environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading enterprise risk management or risk governance within large organisations.
• Experience designing and embedding enterprise risk management and controls frameworks.
• Experience supporting Boards/Executive Committees with risk reporting and insights.
• Experience operating in a three lines model with second-line oversight.
• Experience delivering controls assurance aligned to governance standards (UK CG Code, SOX, ICFR).
• Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, IRM or equivalent.

• Lead Enterprise Risk Management and Risk Appetite frameworks across Post Office.
• Provide independent risk insights, challenge and governance to support decisions.
