Job summary

Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) invites applications for a Research Grants Manager in Research & Innovation Services. You will lead pre- and post-award support for external funding, advise academics on funding sources, and drive strategic submissions to maximise research income.

You will line-manage a team of Research Funding and Contract Officers and report to the Head of Grants, Policy and Projects.

Qualifications

• Experience securing external research grant income.
• Advising on sources of funding, eligibility and evaluation criteria.
• Post-award guidance and support for grant holders.
• Experience leading and developing a team of funding professionals.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre- and post-award support for external research grants.
• Advise the academic community on funding opportunities and criteria.
• Brief senior management on funding landscape developments and opportunities to maximise income.
• Line management responsibility for Research Funding and Contract Officers.
