Job summary

Cardiff University invites applications for an Events Officer to join the Wales Institute of Social & Economic Research, Data & Methods (WISERD) within the School of Social and Spatial Sciences. Qualifications

• Experience planning and delivering events (in-person/online).
• Ability to manage bookings, venues, catering and speakers.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive team player with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and evaluate an annual programme of WISERD events, including seminars, workshops and conferences.
• Plan, coordinate and administer all events (venues, catering, speakers, marketing, bookings, papers, packs, on-the-day needs).
• Act as first point of contact for events queries and manage budgets and costings.
• Organise conference planning meetings, maintain event databases and update websites and listings.
