Job summary

Royal Borough of Greenwich is recruiting a Programme Manager to lead the Pride in Place Programme for Thamesmead Birchmere Park. You will provide strategic leadership, governance and day-to-day programme management, ensuring delivery of projects and compliance with funding requirements.

You will collaborate with the Neighbourhood Board, residents and partners to drive outcomes and ensure transparent decision-making and strong community engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large-scale programmes and project portfolios with budget tracking and reporting.
• Knowledge of governance, risk management, procurement and grants processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and partnership-building skills.
• Experience working with community organisations and residents.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex political environment.
• Commitment to transparency, inclusivity and resident-led decision-making.
• Experience in regeneration or place-based programmes would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and delivery of the Pride in Place Programme for Thamesmead Birchmere Park.
• Support and advise the Independent Chair and Neighbourhood Board in development and delivery of projects.
• Manage programme budgets, project delivery, procurement and grant funding processes.
• Ensure compliance with government funding requirements and public sector governance standards.
• Develop relationships with residents, community groups, elected members and partner organisations.
• Oversee programme monitoring, evaluation, risk management and performance reporting.
• Champion transparent and inclusive decision-making reflecting local priorities.
• Promote Pride in Place through effective communication, engagement and partnership working.
