Job summary

White Recruitment is seeking a commercially minded Range Planning Manager to own the range planning and review process for a large wholesale business. You will work with Buying, Category, Supply Chain, and Depots to deliver range changes on time with clear commercial and customer benefits.

Key focus areas include annual range reviews, collaboration across cross-functional teams, and translating insights into actionable recommendations that influence commercial decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in range planning, category management, assortment planning or commercial project management.
• Commercially focused with a customer mindset.
• Data-driven and able to translate analysis into actionable recommendations.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong communicator and stakeholder manager.
• Desirable: experience in retail/wholesale/grocery/FMCG, especially with supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual and periodic range reviews across assigned categories.
• Develop plans, timelines and milestones for reviews.
• Use customer, sales and category insights to inform range decisions.
• Coordinate introduction of new products, delistings and range changes.
• Manage implementation plans, stock run-down and depot readiness.
• Identify risks and resolve issues to keep projects on track.
• Lead workshops and review meetings with stakeholders.
• Monitor impact of range changes and drive future performance.
• Build relationships across Buying, Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial and Depot teams.
