Job summary

Lancashire County Council is seeking a Principal Officer, Concessionary and Smart Ticketing to lead strategic development of ENCTS and smart ticketing initiatives within the Passenger and Fleet Transport Service.

You'll work with bus operators, neighbouring authorities and partners to deliver modern, integrated ticketing and travel schemes that improve accessibility and value for money for residents.

Qualifications

• You’ll have leadership experience in public transport, ticketing, or related fields.
• Knowledge of ENCTS and concessionary schemes is desirable.
• Strong analytical and financial management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of smart ticketing strategies and fare initiatives.
• Manage Lancashire's concessionary travel schemes ensuring statutory compliance.
• Oversee relationships with transport operators, ticketing suppliers and partners.
• Support delivery of BSIP and Enhanced Partnership objectives.
• Manage budgets, contracts and financial performance for value for money.
