Job summary

Morgan Hunt is seeking a Procurement Contract Support Officer on a temporary basis (6-12 months) in the Central Belt of Scotland. The role offers £250 per day Inside IR35 with potential to go permanent.

You will support end-to-end procurement, tendering, and contract management for construction, property, housing, and public sector projects, delivering value-for-money and ensuring compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in public sector procurement and contract activities.
• Knowledge of public sector procurement processes, tendering procedures, and contract management principles.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret spend data and identify opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support end-to-end procurement and tendering activities, with a focus on construction, property, and capital project contracts.
• Develop sourcing strategies, analyse spend and market trends, and identify opportunities to deliver value-for-money savings and procurement efficiencies.
• Produce tender documentation, evaluation reports, contract award recommendations, and support supplier negotiations and contract management activities.
• Monitor procurement performance through KPI reporting, management information, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure compliance and best practice.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, providing expert procurement guidance, training, and support throughout the procurement lifecycle.
• Maintain procurement procedures, e-procurement systems, governance controls, and regulatory compliance while supporting collaborative procurement projects and organisational objectives.
