Job summary

North Northamptonshire Council is recruiting a Procurement Officer to join the People Services Category. The role supports a busy procurement team delivering council and trust contracts, reporting to a Procurement Manager and working across multiple projects.

Based from Cedar Drive, Thrapston, with potential hybrid arrangements to Haylock House, Kettering, you will bring procurement experience, strong communication skills and familiarity with ERP systems to drive efficient procurement processes

Qualifications

• Experience with procurement processes and tendering.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders including senior roles.
• Strong IT skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement policy and strategy for the Council and Trust.
• Provide expert advice and support to front-line departments.
• Procure goods, works and services and manage corporate contracts.
