Job summary

UKFE is seeking a Legal Counsel (Property & Planning) to support the full lifecycle of property, land and infrastructure projects. You will advise on acquisitions, development agreements, leases and planning, working with cross‑functional teams to enable programme delivery.

The role requires strong drafting and negotiation skills, practical risk assessment and a collaborative, commercial mindset within a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with practising certificate.
• Extensive experience in property, land, planning and infrastructure law.
• Proven drafting and negotiation of complex property agreements.
• Able to balance legal risk with commercial and programme delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide pragmatic strategic legal advice on property, land and infrastructure matters.
• Advise on land acquisitions, leases, licenses and related agreements.
• Support planning, estates and infrastructure projects from inception through delivery.
• Identify legal risks and governance needs; manage external advisers as needed.
• Engage stakeholders and shape efficient legal processes across the programme.
