Qualifications

• Strong property background covering valuation, acquisitions, disposals and property management.
• Experience managing non-operational property portfolios.
• Experience of strategic asset management.
• Experience leading professional/technical property teams.
• Full UK driving licence or access to suitable mobility arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of property management, valuation and real estate services.
• Provide professional advice on property acquisitions, disposals and valuations.
• Contribute to the strategic management of the Council's property assets.
• Manage non-operational property portfolio.
• Lead, manage and develop property staff.
• Support the development and implementation of asset management strategies and policies.
• Manage property-related projects from inception through to completion.
• Prepare reports and provide professional property advice to senior officers and stakeholders.
• Represent the service at internal and external meetings where required.
• Ensure statutory, legislative, health & safety and best practice requirements are met.
• Support the Service Director with the management and delivery of the wider property service.
