Job summary

CloudMargin is seeking a high-impact project and operations lead to work directly with the President & COO and the Senior Leadership Team. You will translate strategic priorities into structured plans and drive cross-functional initiatives through to completion.

You’ll bring planning rigour, detailed reporting, and governance to CloudMargin’s most important work, enabling the COO to focus on strategic and external priorities. This role sits at the heart of the executive office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in project management, business analysis/operations, strategy & operations, or consulting.
• Post-trade and capital markets experience required; SaaS/fintech exposure is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to run multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working with budgets, forecasts and KPI reporting.
• Experience preparing executive or board materials is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the COO's project-tracking system and priorities log; surface risks and blockers.
• Build structured plans, timelines and status reports for strategic initiatives.
• Prepare materials for leadership cadences, monthly/quarterly reports, and board packs.

Primary Purpose of Role

A high-impact role at the centre of the business. Working directly with the President & COO and the Senior Leadership Team, you'll turn strategic priorities into structured plans and drive cross-functional projects and client initiatives through to completion. You'll bring structure, follow-through and reporting rigour to CloudMargin's most important work - freeing the COO to focus on strategic and external-facing priorities.

Core Accountabilities

• Own the COO's project-tracking system and priorities log - tracking key client and cross-functional projects, chasing action owners and surfacing risks, blockers and slippage early.
• Build structured plans, timelines and status reporting for strategic initiatives (e.g. strategic client projects and restructuring projects).
• Prepare materials for recurring leadership cadences, including monthly and quarterly management information and board packs.
• Keep function leads aligned with the COO's priorities, running regular check-ins and holding them to agreed deadlines.
• Support Client Success on large-scale client projects, bringing project management rigour and cross-functional coordination to major implementations and renewals.
• Run meetings independently with external stakeholders (clients, vendors, advisors) and manage those relationships directly.
• Analyse and summarise financial and operational data to support the COO's decisions (e.g. forecast inputs, vendor cost comparisons, KPI tracking), and own research, due-diligence and scoping work such as vendor RFPs, contract reviews and process reviews.

What Success Looks Like

• The COO has a single, up-to-date view of every priority project, with risks surfaced before they become problems.
• Leadership and board packs are delivered on time and accurate, with minimal input needed from the COO.
• Strategic client projects and internal initiatives land on schedule, with clear owners and follow-through.
• Senior leaders spend noticeably less time on coordination and chasing, and more on strategic and external priorities.

Experience

• 5+ years' experience in project management, business analysis/operations, strategy & operations, or consulting
• Post-trade and capital markets experience is required; experience in a SaaS or fintech environment is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to run multiple concurrent projects and stakeholders to deadline with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working with financial and numerical data (budgets, forecasts, KPI reporting) and turning it into clear, actionable summaries.
• Experience preparing executive or board-level materials (decks, status reports) is an advantage.
• A PM qualification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) is an advantage but not required.
• Experience setting up or improving project-tracking tools (e.g. Asana, Notion, Jira or similar), and using automation or AI tools to reduce manual reporting, is an advantage.

• Highly organised; able to turn ambiguous asks into clear plans with milestones and owners.
• Confident communicator, able to manage up to the COO and Senior Leadership Team, run meetings and own follow-through with external parties, and hold peers and function leads accountable without formal authority over them.
• Analytical and numerate; comfortable in spreadsheets and financial models.
• Discreet - regularly exposed to confidential strategic, financial, and compensation information.
• Proactive and self-directed; comfortable operating with incomplete information and shifting priorities.
• Shows sound judgement on when to elevate risks or concerns directly rather than let them sit unaddressed.
• Proactively closes own knowledge gaps (e.g. new functions, tools or reporting methods) as COO priorities evolve.
