LOCATION: London, Hammersmith

WORKING PATTERN: Mon - Fri (37.5 hours), Eligible for virtual working / flexible working

reports to: Senior manager, product - new development – global

Role Purpose

The Strategic Product Manager will manage the critical path including tracking of product initiatives and new strategic product launches that fall outside the normal product offer process. Working alongside the Senior Director, Product (SDP) and Senior Product Manager (SPM), you will input into the product offering for specific initiatives and manage the roadmap from sales collation to execution working closely with cross functional teams including, Planning, Sales, Marketing and Operations.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the SPM and SPD to plan out the product initiatives roadmap at least 12 months in advance
  • Manage each initiative (including retailer moments & New product launches) through a critical path working with cross functional teams to ensure product arrives on time into the DC and launches successfully
  • Communicate out issues, priorities and project statuses to varying level of team members
  • Identify any hurdles and find a solution to keep the project on track
  • Hosting calls with the Senior Management to present updates and provide solutions to any roadblocks
  • Working with Planning team on ensuring factory orders are placed to the correct quantity, configuration, and required warehouse location
  • Collaborate with the US teams to ensure product launches specific for EMEA stay on time
  • Answering and resolving ad hoc queries from all departments
Qualifications
  • Pro-active and self-motivated work style with a proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects amid changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in managing critical paths
  • Excellent knowledge of the product development cycle
  • Ability to build effective business relationships with other functional areas to best support mutual objectives
  • Strong communicator who is great at connecting the dots for each project strategy and program
  • Knowledge and experience of Supply Chain preferred
  • Fantastic written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Consistent attention to detail, high standard of accuracy and strong organizational skill
  • Fast learner with ability to work independently
