Qualifications

• Qualified professional with AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA; essential.
• 5+ years in a senior finance role, ideally in construction/contracting.
• Experience in project-based accounting (WIP) and advanced Excel.
• Strong leadership and staff development abilities.
• Ability to communicate complex metrics to non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance team and KPIs; recruit, mentor and upskill staff.
• Own month-end reporting: P&L, balance sheets, cash flow with variance analysis.
• Manage project accounting: WIP, accruals, CIS compliance.
• Support commercial strategy: margins, supplier negotiations, project viability.
• Improve financial systems and internal controls to support scaling.
• Ensure VAT/CIS compliance and liaise with external accountants.
