Job summary

HS2 Ltd is seeking a Head of Project Controls to own and maintain an integrated baseline across scope, time, cost, risk and quality for multiple HS2 development areas. You will provide strategic insights to senior leaders and the supply chain to support delivery decisions and ensure programme benefits are realised.

You will lead and coordinate project controls activities, promote consistent approaches, and manage data quality and performance reporting across a large, complex programme.

Qualifications

• Clear direction to prioritise objectives and manage multiple workstreams.
• Ability to identify and analyse complex problems and provide logical solutions.
• Decision making using data and stakeholder insight to support HS2 decisions.
• Influencing and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication to senior leaders and boards.
• Capacity to build and maintain relationships across HS2 and the Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Own the integrated baseline across scope, time, cost, risk and quality for multiple development areas.
• Lead project controls activities within the supply chain to ensure accuracy of cost, risk and schedule data.
• Promote consistent project controls approaches and assure data across projects and portfolios.
• Provide strategic analysis and insights on performance, risks, and trends for decision making.
• Support senior leaders in trade-off decisions to achieve programme benefits.
• Manage periodic correlation of schedule, cost, quality and risk to drive delivery.
