Job summary

National Armaments Director Group is seeking a Programme Support Lead to help deliver complex transformation programmes within the Defence Accommodation future contracts stream.

You will coordinate governance, support procurement and supplier engagement, and provide assurance to help ensure contracts deliver value for money, compliance and operational effectiveness. Regular in-person attendance is required with flexible/hybrid working to suit programme needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement or contract management within estates, housing, facilities management or public sector services.
• Evidence of analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and evaluate options.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies, tender docs, evaluation models and contract requirements.
• Manage day-to-day procurement activity in line with MOD/government policies.
• Draft contract terms, schedules and performance measures.
• Maintain procurement trackers, risk registers and assurance docs for governance.
• Prepare commercial reports and briefings for boards and business cases.
• Coordinate with Transition and Mobilisation to reflect commitments in delivery plans.
• Collaborate with technical, policy, project delivery and operational teams.
• Deputise for the Project Manager as required.
• Provide guidance and coaching to colleagues on programme delivery.
• Develop commercial capability and promote knowledge sharing.
