Job summary

Electus Recruitment Solutions is hiring a senior procurement professional to lead activity across major bids and programmes in defence and aerospace. You will shape sourcing strategies, negotiate with suppliers and translate complex technical and programme requirements into effective procurement solutions.

Based in Bournemouth with a hybrid working pattern, the role offers 37 hours per week, with scope for progression and a strong focus on supplier performance, risk management and value delivery

Qualifications

• British nationality is required.
• Significant procurement, subcontract or supply chain experience within complex technical environments (defence/aerospace/regulated).
• Experience supporting major bids, programmes and cross-functional delivery teams.
• Strong commercial negotiation covering supplier selection, tendering, contract execution and terms.
• Proven experience managing strategic suppliers, supply chain risk and continuity of supply.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activity across major bids, programmes and strategic initiatives.
• Develop sourcing and subcontract strategies aligned with programme objectives and business priorities.
• Collaborate with engineering, programme, commercial and finance to translate requirements into procurement solutions.
• Lead supplier selection, tendering, evaluation, negotiation and contract execution.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships to improve performance, delivery, quality and resilience.
• Identify and mitigate commercial, contractual and supply chain risks while promoting best practice.
