Job summary

INSPIRED Pet Nutrition in Thirsk is seeking a Production and Raw Materials Planning Manager to lead the planning team and translate demand forecasts into production and material plans. You will work with Commercial, Operations, Procurement and Supply Chain to balance service, inventory, capacity, and cost while ensuring site readiness to meet targets.

Qualifications

• Broad supply chain knowledge developed through planning or SCM roles.
• Experience managing production planning, material planning, inventory or supply planning in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of sales order processing, forecasting and distribution planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning team to convert forecasts into production, material, procurement and labour plans.
• Balance customer service, stock levels, capacity and cost efficiency.
• Develop and maintain accurate production schedules and raw material plans.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development to the planning team.
• Support budgeting and manage expenditure for cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with Commercial and Supply Chain to build demand forecasts and S&OP plans.
• Contribute to cross-functional planning forums.
• Manage inbound material schedules and ensure supply continuity.
• Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve planning challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement across planning processes and inventory management.
