Job summary

Siemens Healthineers AG is seeking a Procurement Specialist to engage cross-functionally at country, regional, and global levels within a fast-paced healthcare organisation. You will report to the Head of Strategic Procurement GB&I and lead market analysis, tender processes, and supplier management.

The role emphasises robust negotiations, governance adherence, and digital tools adoption to optimise procurement performance and value creation.

Qualifications

• Procurement experience in healthcare preferred.
• Excellent communication and change management skills.
• MS Office proficiency and data analysis ability.
• Degree level, preferably in a business field; CIPS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Market Analysis & Early Involvement to identify procurement risks and opportunities.
• Bid Preparation & Tender Management including RFI/RFQ/RFP and evaluations.
• Negotiation & Contract Management to achieve best commercial terms and KPIs.
• Supplier Management including due diligence and performance evaluation.
• Procurement Governance to ensure policy compliance and process efficiency.
• Digitalisation projects contributing to transformation and productivity.

Job Responsibilities

• Market Analysis & Early Involvement - Analyse the market to identify procurement risks, opportunities and market forces, enabling the business to mitigate potential exposure and capitalise on favourable market conditions, whilst ensuring early engagement with cross-functional partners.
• Bid Preparation & Tender Management - Lead end-to-end competitive tender processes, including RFI, RFQ and RFP scoping and preparation, bid analysis and clarification, TCO evaluation, supplier selection and award, ensuring the best overall commercial terms, quality, service and security of supply.
• Negotiation & Contract Management - Prepare and lead negotiations to achieve the best sustainable commercial outcomes and/or process improvement to contribute to Zone productivity targets. Ensure robust negotiation of commercial terms, KPIs and SLAs to mitigate business risk.
• Supplier Management - Manage supplier performance and relationships, including due diligence, qualification, performance evaluation, supplier development and conflict management.
• Procurement Governance - Monitor and manage adherence to Procurement policy and P2P process to ensure high process efficiency and compliance.
• Digitalisation Projects - Actively contribute to projects and collaborate in work groups to drive transformation and process efficiency using appropriate digital tools.

Work Experience

Your Skills & Experience:

• Passionate and self-motivated with a growth mindset.
• Customer centric with excellent communication and change management skills.
• Demonstrable procurement experience preferably within the NHS or wider healthcare sector, including competitive tendering, commercial negotiations, supplier management and contract management.
• Enjoys collaborating and can work effectively in cross-functional teams to find innovative solutions.
• Ability to set priorities and problem solve with a curiosity to learn.
• High levels of attention to detail and proficient in the use of MS Office Applications.
• Experience with data analysis, drawing valuable insights from large volumes of data.
• A passion for Digitalisation in Procurement and learning new tools e.g., Copilot, Qlik View, Power BI and Power Automate.
• Educated to degree level, preferably in a commercial or business-related discipline. CIPS qualification preferred.
