Job summary

Avendra International - Europe is seeking a Procurement & Commercial Analyst to join our Procurement Operations team, supporting clients across the food and catering sectors. The role blends procurement support, price benchmarking and commercial analysis to protect savings and ensure pricing accuracy.

You'll work with suppliers and internal teams to investigate pricing queries, identify improvement opportunities and deliver timely, commercially focused insights.

Qualifications

• Experience in analytical, procurement, benchmarking, or commercial support role.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to investigate pricing issues.
• Logical and commercially minded approach to problem solving.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience within food, catering, healthcare, hospitality, or education sectors.
• Exposure to procurement operations, supplier management, or contract support environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate price benchmarking across categories to support informed decisions.
• Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks and opportunities in supplier pricing.
• Support continuous improvement of benchmarking methodologies and analytical approaches.
• Perform detailed supplier price review analysis to ensure alignment with pricing structures.
• Identify pricing discrepancies, anomalies, and risks; escalate as required.
• Support protection of client savings through rigorous analysis and controls.
• Analyse large and complex datasets for data accuracy and integrity.
• Produce clear reports translating data into commercial insight for stakeholders.
