Job summary

SSE plc in Glasgow is seeking a Procurement Officer to join the Procurement Operations Team. You will manage sourcing from demand through contract award and work with internal customers and external suppliers.

This permanent, full-time role offers a hybrid work pattern with 50% in Glasgow and a salary of £45,452 to £54,311 plus benefits such as private healthcare, wellbeing schemes and family entitlements. You will use Jaggaer Sourcing to Contract, draft and negotiate contracts, and maintain

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering commercial value through a range of sourcing activities and supplier negotiations.
• The ability to manage tender processes smoothly and efficiently.
• The capability of clear communication and problem-solving, with strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts.
• A Professional accreditation i.e. CIPS (preferred), or working towards a accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Undertake procurement of goods, works, and services to support all Business Units, from initial demand through to contract award aiming for reduced contract costs.
• Conduct sourcing events using the Jaggaer Sourcing to Contract System aligned with Category Sourcing Strategies and procurement policies.
• Contribute to the drafting, reviewing, and negotiating of contracts.
• Ensure stakeholder engagement with a strong understanding of procurement systems and supply chain processes.
• Maintain accurate sourcing and contract records, ensuring procurement activity is fully documented and audit ready.
