Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver strategic procurement plans with a two-year horizon for a major spend category.
• Lead complex, high-value procurement and commercial projects from concept through to contract award and implementation.
• Manage procurement exercises for goods, services, and works with values £50m–£100m.
• Ensure compliance with Public Procurement Regulations, Standing Orders, and relevant legislation.
• Advise Directors and senior stakeholders on procurement strategy and routes to market.
• Drive continuous improvement and value for money through procurement solutions.
• Deliver social value objectives through procurement aligned with policies.
• Lead market analysis, supplier engagement, and strategic sourcing across categories.
• Monitor delivery, savings, and outcomes and report them accurately.
• Build strong relationships with internal clients, suppliers, and external partners.
• Represent the organisation at regional and national procurement forums and events.
• Contribute to the development of procurement services across the partnership.
