Vibe Recruit is supporting a leading manufacturer in Caerphilly as it grows, by appointing a Strategic Procurement Manager. The role, based in Caerphilly with hybrid working, offers a salary of £55,000 plus bonus and employee benefits.

You will lead strategic sourcing, supplier management and contract negotiations, collaborating across international suppliers and groups, with some travel and a focus on cost, quality and delivery.

Qualifications

• Membership of, or progress towards, a recognised procurement body such as CIPS or ISM is preferred.
• Demonstrable experience of contract management with international suppliers and end-to-end procurement processes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and international suppliers.
• Sound knowledge of strategic procurement practices.
• Strong negotiation skills to protect continuity of supply and deliver value.

• Sourcing, negotiating and managing supplier relationships to optimise cost, quality and delivery performance.
• Lead strategic sourcing and new product introduction (NPI) projects and manage contract negotiations.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Procurement manager/ specialist with strong practical experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management and supply contract management to join an employer of choice in Caerphilly.

Strategic Procurement Manager you will:

• Be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and managing supplier relationships to optimise cost, quality and delivery performance.
• Play a key role in supplier development; lead strategic sourcing and new product introduction (NPI) projects; lead supply contract negotiations and manage contract performance.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across all business entities and with suppliers throughout the global supply base.
• Lead cost-saving projects from supplier evaluation and selection through sampling, sample evaluation support, commercial negotiation, contract approval and final delivery.
• Support Group procurement governance activities, including supplier assessment, onboarding, continuous improvement, audits and contract development.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal commercial terms.
• Analyse market trends and supply risks to identify cost-optimisation opportunities.

You will need:

• Membership of, or progress towards a professional qualification from, a recognised procurement body such as the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or the Institute for Supply Management is preferred.
• Demonstrable experience of contract management with international suppliers and a strong understanding of end-to-end procurement processes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and international suppliers.
• Sound knowledge of strategic procurement practices.
• Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to lead negotiations and advise others to protect continuity of supply and deliver value.
