Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks an experienced Procurement Manager in the United Kingdom to deliver the procurement plan for the business, with accountability for a £40M budget. The role focuses on developing purchasing strategies, cost control, and supplier collaboration to ensure compliant, high‑quality sourcing.

We require a CIPS Level 5 and at least 3 years’ experience managing a procurement team.

Qualifications

• Develop, lead and implement purchasing strategies.
• Track and report key metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
• Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with favorable terms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
• Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
• Assess, manage and mitigate risks.
• Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
• Propose improvements to the current purchasing system to improve vendor relationships and margin.
• Lead collaboration with inventory control and sales to develop metrics for stock levels.

• Take the lead in creating profitable ways to manage obsolete and slow-moving stock to help offset losses
• Manage the company’s day-to-day purchasing activities and ensure that all purchasing agents are meeting their personal performance standards
• Assist in developing more effective invoicing and collecting processes
