Job summary

Escape Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking an experienced procurement professional for a Senior/Category Buyer role in Grangemouth. The position covers strategic sourcing, supplier management, negotiation and stakeholder engagement, with scope to take on leadership responsibilities.

You will manage sourcing across multiple categories, build strong stakeholder relationships, lead tender exercises, identify cost-saving opportunities and drive procurement improvements across the business.

Qualifications

• Solid experience across sourcing, supplier management and commercial negotiation.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• The confidence to influence, challenge and make decisions.
• A commercial mindset and the ability to spot opportunities to save money or improve value.
• Experience managing suppliers and negotiating contracts.
• The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy, changing environment.
• Ideally some experience mentoring or guiding colleagues would be highly advantageous

Responsibilities

• Manage sourcing and procurement activity across a range of categories.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business and understand what they need from procurement.
• Manage supplier relationships, pricing, contracts and performance.
• Lead sourcing and tender exercises and negotiate commercially strong outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve value and make procurement more effective.
• Use spend and procurement data to identify opportunities and support decision-making.
• Support contract management and supplier performance.
• Work closely with colleagues across the wider business and Group Procurement.
• Help improve procurement processes, systems and ways of working.
• Support and guide colleagues, with the opportunity to take on greater leadership responsibility as you develop in the role.
