Job summary

NWSSP Procurement Services in Cardiff is seeking a Category Manager to lead the procurement workplan for the National Sourcing Commissioning team and deliver strategic category outcomes.

You will collaborate with peers and stakeholders at all levels, overseeing complex procurement activities while embracing agile and Cardiff-based working patterns. Welsh language ability is desirable, but both languages are welcomed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering complex procurement projects.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience dealing with contract legislation, compliance and probity issues.
• Delivering savings in procurement.
• Experience of people/staff supervision.
• Experience of managing risk.
• Experience of category management.
• Experience engaging with and managing a wide range of stakeholders professionally.
• Awareness of Quality Standards and ISO policies and procedures.
• Experience of business planning.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement workplan for National Sourcing Commissioning team.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders at all levels to ensure delivery of the category strategy.
• Work from Cardiff with home/agile working options.
• Welsh language ability is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are welcome to apply.
