Job summary

Bromford in Gloucestershire is seeking a Category Buyer to help secure the right goods and services at the right value, enabling teams to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality services for customers.

You will work with Category Managers across the organisation, supporting procurement projects, supplier management and commercial decision-making, with occasional travel and a permanent, full-time role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a procurement, commercial or purchasing environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify insights.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Good Microsoft Office skills.
• An understanding of procurement principles and processes.
• Experience working with digital systems such as ERP, CRM or MRP platforms.

Responsibilities

• Supporting procurement and sourcing projects from initiation through to completion.
• Conducting market research and supplier analysis.
• Analysing commercial, procurement and spend data.
• Supporting supplier engagement and relationship management.
• Assisting with contract management activities.
• Ensuring procurement activity complies with policy and legislative requirements.
• Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Supporting continuous improvement across procurement processes.
