Job summary

Baltimore Consulting Limited seeks an Interim Principal Educational Psychologist to lead an Educational Psychology service in the North West. The role offers hybrid working, a 6-month interim contract, and a day rate of £700–£800 depending on experience.

You will drive strategic direction, oversee statutory responsibilities, mentor psychologists, and collaborate with education, health and care partners as national reforms unfold.

Qualifications

• Senior Leadership Expertise within Educational Psychology services.
• Strong track record in service improvement and transformation.
• In-depth knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and statutory duties.
• Proven ability in stakeholder engagement at senior level.
• Experience managing budgets, resources, and performance within a Local Authority setting.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: shape and deliver the vision for Educational Psychology services.
• Service Transformation: lead improvement programmes, tackle backlogs, and enhance outcomes.
• Operational Oversight: manage day-to-day service delivery and statutory responsibilities.
• People Leadership: supervise, coach, and develop Educational Psychologists and trainees.
• Multi-agency Influence: advise senior leaders and drive collaboration across education, health, and care.
