Job summary

The Diocese Of Canterbury Academies Trust is seeking an exceptional School Improvement Adviser to work across our primary schools, driving sustained improvement and building leadership capacity to raise outcomes for every child.

You will collaborate with headteachers and senior leaders, using data and evidence to identify priorities, provide focused support, and model high-quality teaching and leadership with a particular emphasis on mathematics.

Qualifications

  • Proven record of primary school improvement.
  • Experience supporting improvement beyond own school.
  • Strong mathematics knowledge and teaching understanding.
  • Ability to translate evidence into practical support.
  • Credible relationships with leaders at all levels.
  • Reflective and committed to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Identify priorities with headteachers and secure sustainable improvement.
  • Provide focused support to schools needing improvement.
  • Use data and evidence to evaluate impact.
  • Develop teaching and leadership, with a focus on mathematics.
  • Coach and model practice in classrooms and share effective strategies.
  • Hold leaders to account for impact and progress.
  • Share best practice across schools and contribute to trust-wide priorities.
  • Ensure improvements are measurable and lasting.
