Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board in North Wales is seeking a self-motivated Primary Care Contracts Manager to lead commissioning and operational management of primary care contracts within the Integrated Health Communities framework.

The role requires exceptional stakeholder engagement, robust NHS contracting knowledge, and the ability to negotiate and resolve complex contract issues while maintaining professional relationships across PCC, IHC teams and GP practices.

Qualifications

• Masters degree level or equivalent professional qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Proven management and leadership experience.
• Understanding of statutory obligations of Health Board and NHS legislation with regard to primary care contracting.
• Strong negotiation and change management skills.
• Advanced knowledge of the primary care contractual framework.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate independently with autonomy and manage pressure.

Responsibilities

• Support the commissioning and operational management of all Primary Care contracts within IHCs.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with contractors and staff to resolve contract management issues.
• Collaborate with PCC, IHC teams and other stakeholders using strong networking and influencing skills.
