Job summary

HM Treasury is recruiting for a Policy Adviser in the Strategy Unit. The role supports Ministers and senior officials, helping shape the department’s strategy and priorities.

You will work closely with Permanent Secretaries and Directors General to influence decisions and deliver outcomes for the country. Qualifications

• Ability to think strategically and identify opportunities for change.
• Experience in working with senior officials and Ministers.
• Strong written and oral communication to senior audiences.
• Evidence-informed decision making and judgement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the department’s approach to prioritising work with EMB and Ministers.
• Support decisions to align resources with priorities and through Business Planning.
• Contribute to the development of the organisational strategy with senior stakeholders.
• Scope, plan, drive and evaluate discrete projects for evidence-based outcomes.
• Provide secretariat support for senior meetings, including Directors’ Forum.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
