Job summary
The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority (MCA) is seeking an experienced Assurance Manager to lead the portfolio-wide assurance function within the Corporate PMO. You will shape assurance processes, gateway reviews and health checks, provide escalation and drive delivery confidence across projects and programmes.
You will report to the Head of Corporate PMO and work with sponsors, delivery teams and senior leaders to ensure value for money and strategic alignment.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in PMO, assurance or governance.
- Experience leading project and programme assurance.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and governance boards.
- Experience managing and developing teams.
- Knowledge of corporate PMO and assurance frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Lead and own the portfolio-wide assurance function with governance oversight.
- Develop and improve assurance processes including gateway reviews.
- Provide independent challenge and escalation to support decision-making.
- Maintain portfolio delivery confidence view and identify risks.
- Line manage Portfolio Leads and the Portfolio Coordinator.
