Job summary

USW invites applications for a Senior Planning and Performance Officer based in Pontypridd with hybrid working. The role supports the Data and Statutory Reporting Team, producing statutory returns (HESA, Medr) and driving process improvements across the University.

You will combine strong numerical data skills with stakeholder engagement to deliver timely, accurate information to inform strategic planning and governance.

Responsibilities

• Support the production of statutory reports, including the student HESA return and Medr returns.
• Collaborate across the department and University to develop and improve processes for returns production.
• Analyse data and provide management information to support decision making.
• Oversee external and internal student satisfaction surveys.
• Create regular briefings for senior management and the Board of Governors on University performance.
• Lead progress reviews and monitor impact of delivery as part of annual planning.
