Job summary

Audit Scotland is seeking an experienced Planning and Performance Manager on a fixed-term contract to October 2028. Based in Scotland, you will lead planning, performance, and resource management functions, providing insight and governance to support strategic decisions.

You will develop performance information, dashboards and data products, while guiding senior leaders and cross-government collaboration to improve efficiency and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading organisation-wide planning and performance management within public sector or regulated bodies.
• Development of performance frameworks, management information and dashboards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with senior leaders.
• Experience in resource management, workforce planning or capacity modelling.
• Experience leading, managing and developing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination and delivery of corporate planning and performance management arrangements.
• Oversee organisational planning, strategy implementation and business planning.
• Develop and deliver performance information, analysis and reporting for oversight.
• Lead development of performance frameworks, indicators and reporting.
• Develop management information, dashboards and data products with automation and AI-enabled tools.
• Coordinate stakeholder feedback and impact data across business groups.
