Job summary

Progress Rail Locomotive is seeking an experienced Planning Manager to lead the integrated Service Delivery Plan across UK and Europe, ensuring efficient planning and scheduling to support service operations.

You will drive continuous improvements, oversee demand planning with commercial, and collaborate with Sales, Operations, procurement, warehousing and logistics to meet customer demand while maintaining quality, safety and delivery standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in service delivery planning within maintenance and project delivery.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage cross site teams and work cross functionally.
• Experience working with and developing ERP systems and production planning software to optimize planning processes/outcomes.
• Knowledge of lean principles.
• Knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Visio etc).
• Ability to thrive in an often fluid/changing manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the integrated Service Delivery Plan for UK and EU.
• Lead the delivery of a new service contract in Germany with 3rd party providers.
• Lead the implementation of the Microsoft D365 asset management module.
• Coordinate with Sales to align external demand with the Service Delivery Plan.
• Coordinate with Operations, procurement, warehousing and logistics to align internal capacity.
• Monitor and adjust plans in response to changing priorities.
• Create service schedules for depots in line with the plan and optimize stock planning.
• Collaborate with engineering, materials planning, warehousing and logistics to optimize processes.
• Share the Service Delivery Plan with the materials planning team to optimize stock levels.
• Review service delivery data to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements.
• Report KPIs on utilization, service efficiency, cost and quality to senior leadership.
