Job description

The University of Warwick is looking for a Strategic Planning Manager.

This is a pivotal role, focused on strategic planning and resource allocation whilst ensuring alignment with future objectives.

Responsibilities will include

  • Developing communications plan to academic departments to set out how the 2025 student intake target and fee setting processes
  • Comparative analysis to gain insight, and inform discussions focused on strengthening the University’s future positioning
  • Defining and leading on the development of a project brief and project plan, including the identification and tracking of key decision points.
  • Providing leadership on the coordination of deliverables to ensure consistent standards, and ensuring activities are undertaken
  • Delivering executive support to the Steering Group, work streams and working groups as required.
  • Effective stakeholder management to develop and implement a communications strategy for delivery of the 2025/26 student number planning process.
  • Facilitating and coordinating any associated changes to the 2026/27 targets.

The role requires a strong HE background and a proactive approach combined with impactful communication skills, which will enable you to coordinate and progress project briefs to ensure delivery of key milestones, build credible stakeholder relations & provide executive level support.

A knowledge of the policies and procedures of HEFCE, HESA, NCTL is essential.

Contract Details:

  • 6-month contract
  • Hybrid – 2 days on site, Tuesday is an anchor day
  • £28.00 per hour
