Job summary

Intermountain Health’s St. Mary’s Regional Hospital seeks a Philanthropy Director to lead major gift and planned giving initiatives, manage staff, and expand donor engagement across the community. The role focuses on developing comprehensive fundraising programs and sustaining philanthropy growth.

The ideal candidate has extensive fundraising leadership experience, strong strategic planning, and excellent communication skills, with a commitment to Intermountain’s mission and regional impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in non-profit management, philanthropy studies, public administration, public relations, communications, marketing, English, business, or other related degree.
• Six years of fundraising leadership experience with demonstrated success in achieving financial goals and performance standards through major and planned gifts using metrics and measurement tools.
• Experience successfully leading teams or projects.
• Effective interpersonal skills, including relationship building and communication with diverse groups.
• Experience using donor databases and fundraising software such as Raiser's Edge.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements major, planned and blended gift strategies for self and major gift team for achieving annual philanthropy revenue targets.
• Collaborates with hospital leaders and board members to achieve donor-prospect engagement objectives.
• Manages a personal portfolio of major-gift prospects to achieve annual performance targets and oversees a team of gift officers.
• Oversees fundraising programs with emphasis on major and planned gifts from individuals, families, foundations, organizations and corporations.
• Develops case statements for research, capital, project, and program funding priorities.
• Acts as a public speaker on behalf of Intermountain Healthcare and engages with the community.
