Job summary

Impetus is seeking a Development Director (Philanthropy) to provide strategic leadership across our philanthropy and stewardship portfolio. You will manage high-value donor relationships, renew and grow income, and lead selected new business activity with corporate partners, trusts and high-net-worth individuals.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in major donor and/or corporate fundraising at six and seven-figure gift levels.
• Ability to lead the full fundraising cycle from prospecting to close.
• Proven experience building and managing a new business pipeline.
• Strong networks including trustees, senior volunteers, and professional contacts.

Responsibilities

• Own and oversee strategically significant donor and partner relationships at six and seven-figure levels, ensuring high levels of retention, satisfaction, trust, income growth and long-term value.
• Set and embed best practice stewardship standards, ensuring donors receive timely, consistent, high-quality engagement throughout their relationship with Impetus.
• Work with the wider team to ensure a smooth transition between new business and long-term stewardship.
• Ensure account plans for priority donors and partners include renewal and growth pathways; engagement and risk-management plans.
• Act as senior relationship owner and coach to navigate complex or sensitive relationships.
